There are times when you may need to visit a customer alone for the first time or are required to travel to a remote area. We offer a Lone Working option where you can telephone our main board upon arrival at a customer's address and register when you should ‘check back in’ with us.
If you do not check in on time, then you are telephoned after ten minutes and again five minutes later. After 15 minutes of there being no response then an alert is raised.
The Network Member sets up alerts with us to contact a named person or the local police. An alert is not raised until after 15 minutes to give a PA time to find or charge a phone if their phone has lost power. However, this is open to variation on specific requests. This is a necessary but expensive option to provide, and you are encouraged to use it only where you have a specific concern. You may use it four times a month but after that there will be a per visit charge.
It is necessary to submit a new form for each visit so that we can guarantee there is a double check of your requirements, contact numbers and times for that days request is completely accurate as it involves your safety. The form is then held on file for the day in case of an emergency.
Please phone the office on day of visit to confirm that the monitoring will be required.
